Programs that grow and develop each and every dancer, not only as artists and athletes, but overall individuals. In this Fine Arts course, students are introduced to a basic working knowledge of performance concepts that they can apply to all dance forms. Experiences are based on fundamentals of ballet, modern and jazz dance. This course fulfills the graduation requirement for the Fine Arts elective as it provides instruction in aesthetics, dance history, anatomy, choreographic techniques, and performance components. Performance components beyond the regular school day are required.

In this Fine Arts course students are challenged in sessions of dance technique that use a working knowledge of performance concepts that students will apply to all dance forms. Experiences are based on further developing principles and techniques of ballet, modern and jazz dance. This course fulfills the graduation requirement for the Fine Arts elective as it provides instruction in aesthetics, dance history, anatomy, and choreographic techniques. Performance components beyond the regular school day are required. Completion of Dance I or equivalent experience is required. This course focuses on enhancing and refining athletic performance through an integration of movement, fitness and conditioning techniques. Students in Liquid Flow will participate in a dance and movement class that teaches the fundamentals of dance technique and addresses the way we already dance through the world. By discovering our own movement signatures, and becoming aware of other people's dance, motion, and energy in space, we will transform the way we inhabit flow states, from the dance studio, into everyday life, and ultimately onto the stage
