Akwaaba! Welcome to Great Price Redemption Academy’s home page! We hope you will use these pages to find out a little about our School. You will find many photographs of the lively, stimulating learning experiences that are part and parcel of Great Price Redemption Academy life. If at all possible, however, we would love you to come along and visit us, to see us in action and get a feel for what our School is like! Great Price Redemption Academy was founded in 2000 by the Late Andrews Frimpong and is a private co-educational institution of 973 students, from ages 3 to 18. At Great Price Redemption Academy, we aim to offer our pupils the highest quality of education. We are proud of the reputation our school has gained since it began in 2000 and pleased that you are thinking about becoming part of our learning community. At Great Price Redemption Academy every aspect of school life complements the other; from academic work to pupil involvement in clubs, sports, activities, various events and community service projects. There are approximately 26 students of over 5 different nationalities on the roll, taught by over 18 teachers and newly qualified graduate teachers who serve as Teaching Assistants in each class and, in the Foundation Stage, Nannies as well.
The subjects that are taught
Compulsory subjects in primary school are arithmetic, reading, and writing, introduction to natural sciences, and local history.
This does not mean that the timetable has been wholly divided into separate subjects. In this school, much of our learning is cross-curricular and supports our thematic approach. The core and foundation subjects do not form the complete curriculum. We aim to give all children a broad and balanced education that seeks, above all, to treat each child as an individual and to prepare them for life. We believe that children should be taught the skills and knowledge that give them an understanding of their world and equip them for later life. We focus on key subject and learning skills and are careful to ensure that knowledge taught is relevant and useful.
